In 1987, because of severe structural problems, these buses were retired and replaced with Flxible 111-CCs from RGRTA in Rochester, and GMC RTS II TH-8201s from DART Dallas. Another batch of TH-8603 slopebacks were delivered in 1980 with livery numbers 5066-5078 and were the second order of buses equipped with wheelchair lifts for NFTA Metro Bus.
