Peninsula # 609, a GM TDH 5106, started life with Jamaica Buses in their 600 series and was among one of three seperate deliveries to the company between 1953 and 1958. It was eventually repainted in basic Green Bus Lines livery along with a number of other 5106's from Jamaica, renumbered to the 900's, and served that company for some years.
These buses finally wound up in Green Line's junk yard at which time Peninsula Bus of Inwood, NY came along and took the best parts from all the derelicts to fabricate the pictured # 609.
